The Best Things in Life Are Free // #AvivaFreeParent

I am delighted Aviva are sponsoring this promotion of their Free Parent Life Cover.

The minute I found out I was pregnant I knew I was holding so much more than a pink line on a test strip. My world changed right away and although it took a little bit of getting used to I was full of hopes, dreams and plans for this little person. New life is full of so much potential, as a new parent you wonder what your children will be when they grow up, who’s eyes they’ll have. You wish for health and happiness, you plan for a safe home and a good school. We all want the best for our children but as I quickly found out it can be a tricky area to navigate.

As a first time parent I was, in fact I still am, finding my feet with so many things. I have ideas about what I think is important but sometimes life takes us down a different road – so much of being a parent is trial and error. I know I’m still figuring out how to hide 5/7 portions of fruit and veg a day on Luisas plates! One thing I have learnt, slowly, is at the end of the day the nursery place and the birthday parties are all just noise. All that really matters is that she’s safe and happy.

When I was asked to take part in the #AvivaFreeParent campaign to spread the word about Aviva’s free life insurance policies for new parents I was really interested to find out more and see how it could benefit our family. Aviva recognise that as a parents we have a lot of worries and that navigating those first few years is far from easy. Their Free Parent Life Cover offers new parents £15,000 of life insurance cover for free with no strings attached, there’s no purchase necessary and you don’t even need to hand over your debit or credit card details.

You can take out the plan at any time from the day your child is born to before their 4th birthday, and the cover lasts for 12 months. What’s more – both parents can actually take the insurance out, meaning each child has £30,000 of insurance in place. I feel like this goes a long way to giving you peace of mind that should the unthinkable happen to you or your partner you’ve got the practicalities covered. Having access to that lump sum would give you the security to take care of outstanding debts, mortgage payments or rent while you come to terms with a really difficult situation. The cover applies to each child under 4 and it takes just a few minutes to apply from your computer, phone or tablet.

As far as I’m concerned it’s a no-brainer. I love Luisa endlessly and whilst part of that does mean buying her fun toys and taking her on trips being prepared for her future and giving her that safety net is priceless. Sign up for your free parent life insurance from Aviva here & give your growing family peace of mind that should the unthinkable happen someone’s got your back.

I’m working with Aviva on this campaign. All words and opinions are entirely my own.

We are lucky that we get life insurance through my husbands work but I completely agree it is SO important to have this cover sorted out to protect your family. This free cover is brilliant, thanks for sharing;)
