When Lu was tiny she didn’t really suit bright colours or strong prints, now that she’s a toddler she can totally rock any style and I’m making the most of it. I absolutely love how much variety is available both on the high street and online, especially statement unisex prints. One of my favourite brands is Lamb & Bear, a gorgeous company set up by my friend Alex selling statement leggings. She designs all her own fabrics at home in Colchester so they’re totally unique and – in my opinion, amazing. I love to dress Luisa in leggings because they’re comfortable and make it easy for her to play. I also find that her tops tend to get messy quicker, with spilt meals and the like so I’d rather she wore plain cheap tops and nicer trousers.

As much as I love strong bright prints sometimes it can be a bit daunting, standing in front of your kids wardrobe wondering what to pair them with. Obviously I’m not a fashion icon but I thought it would be fun to share some outfits Luisa wears regularly, as well as some other ideas you might like.

I love the different multipacks of tops the Next offer because they’re so versatile and easy to match with statement leggings. Something I love about Lamb and Bear leggings is that Alex cleverly uses the accent colour from the print to stitch the seams with. You can’t see it so well in these photos but the seams of the rhinos are a bright blue, flamingos a turquoise and so on.

I think that all of the leggings are really gender neutral, some of the tops I’ve linked above are more ‘girly’ than something I might choose for a boy but I will certainly be stashing all of the leggings away for baby number two. If you’re still on the fence about how gender neutral bold leggings can be have a look at some of these boys absolutely rocking them.

Unicorns for all! How much fun are these @lambandbearwear leggings? These two are in love
