I am feeling super duper festive right now. We’re almost over our rotten colds, the tree is up and we’ve been on some lovely wintry walks. I can’t believe in only 3 weeks it will be Christmas Eve, I’m almost sad already! Of course we have lots of jobs, ordinary life and work to do in that timeframe but I’m trying to squeeze in as much festive magic as I can.
This month we’ve having a go at vlogmas, posting a festive video on Youtube most days. I’m not putting myself under pressure to vlog daily as it’s just not worth it for me, I will loose the love of it if I start to feel stressed.
Our winter adventures this week included a trek around the forest with our new Toby Wagon. Luisa is… smitten haha and so am I! As much as we’re enjoying the Christmas season this piece of kit has us looking forward to the summer. I can’t wait to go back to Stendhal festival and on family camping trips with this all terrain beauty.
Over the weekend we went to a Christmas tree festival in a local church. It was an amazing event where local businesses and people worked together to decorate 50 trees in different themes, each telling a story as you walked around the building. The whole thing was beyond gorgeous, there were carol singers and festive snacks too which Luisa loved! It was a free event but donations were encouraged and split 50/50 between a local mental health charity (PIPS) and the psychiatric wing at the Mater hospital.
And to be honest, that’s it! A really lovely but pretty run of the mill week. I’m feeling eerily calm about Christmas approaching as i’m pretty organised this year. No doubt i’ll find something to stress about soon.
