I recently shared a new video on YouTube showing what I carry in my changing bag for a typical day with a toddler. I actually really naively didn’t think I would still be using a changing bag at this stage, I assumed it was just for really small babies who need lots of changes and emergency supplies. Well more fool me! A changing bag is beyond useful when you’ve a walking talking toddler who gets into messes and needs snacks and toys on demand.

I was recently sent the Luxury Changing Bag from Bounty Boutique, a new online shop from Bounty. You’ll probably already be familiar with Bounty, they provide free goodie bags during pregnancy full of samples and vouchers, one of my pregnancy holy grail products was actually brought to my attention in one of these packs. I swear by the Palmers stretch mark body butter and have Bounty to thank for helping me discover that gem.

I’ve grown to love having a dedicated changing bag and it’s a very rare occasion that you’ll see me out with a ‘proper’ handbag. I love that a good changing bag means you’ve got everything to hand and if you keep it topped up you can essentially ‘grab and go’. This is really important to me as I really do fly my the seat of my pants, as my Mum likes to remind me! We rarely have concrete plans for the week, often setting off on an adventure at a whim. Having a bag that’s ready for anything makes this a lot easier.

My favourite feature about this bag is the two bit pockets at the front, they close with a magnet and are perfect for keeping small toys and snacks in. I like to keep bits and bobs like that in the front of my bag for easy access and to give Luisa the opportunity to fetch them easily herself.

The bag has a long strap which can be used to carry it cross body or to hang on your pram, the bag also has small handles so it’s nice and versatile. Another clever bit of design is the large changing mat – it slots in the back of the bag really neatly and has a small mesh pouch which is the perfect size for a packet of wipes and a few nappies. This makes changes on the go really convenient, especially for Dad 😉

I love the bold, gender neutral print and the fact that all the fabric is wipe clean. There are just enough compartments that it’s really easy to keep your bag organised but not so many that you can’t remember where you put things.

If you’re a mum to be I would definitely reccomend this bag; it’s pretty, practical and will see you right through the toddler years. Click here for more info and to pop this beauty in your basket. If you’d like a closer look inside the bag and to find out more about the kind of products I bring out for a toddler take a look at the video below.
