Like most mums, I think, I tend to live vicariously through Luisa. One of my vices is clothes shopping for her, there are just so many cute things you can pick up and thanks to online shopping it’s oh so easy for a few bits to fall in your basket. I’ve been taking on a lot fewer reviews on the blog this year but when one of my favourite brands got in touch about their new collection I couldn’t help myself.

I featured From Babies With Love in November when I showed you their range of organic soft toys. Just to recap – FBWL are a fab company, every penny of profit from their unique, ethically sourced designs goes to orphaned and abandoned children around the world. And to ensure the money is spent in the right way they have their own foundation.

SOS Children’s Villages is a charity who creates communities for children who have nobody to turn to. The children are cared for by their SOS Mother; they live in family homes in the village with their SOS brothers and sisters.

This enables children who would otherwise be left to fend for themselves, on the streets or in slums, to have a second chance in life. The children’s circumstances are not their fault, and by being loved, cared for and educated, they go on to lead independent lives, breaking the cycle of poverty.

Luisa has been wearing the new Crab design long sleeved tshirt. The character is a quirkly little crab made out of postal materials. It’s a very soft blush colour, actually even paler than it looks on the website – practially cream but not quite. I think it compliemnts her fair skin beautifully.

As with all of their pieces this top is super soft, you can feel the quality of the GOTS certified organic cotton when you hold it in your hands. Luisa actually has a flare up of eczema at the moment so I’m thinking some of the vests and baby grows would be a savvy purchase for her sensitive skin.

Each item of clothing comes with a gorgeous drawstring gift bag and cute card featuring the character on the item. This means the clothes from FBWL make a fabulous gift.

I really like the cut of this top, it has an envelope neck which makes it really easy to get on and off an obstinate toddler. The cuffs are lightly pulled in, meaning the arms sit nicely even though it’s slightly too big for Luisa still. She’s quite petite, mainly wearing 12-18, and so this sized 18-24 month top is going to last a long time.

So there you have it – gorgeous clothes which do good. Bravo, From Babies With Love – you’ve done it again. I hope the new collection sells like hot cakes.
