When we moved into our new house in December there were a lot of things for us to adjust to. We we’re so used to our Edinburgh flat it felt odd to live in a house with stairs again. It didn’t take long for us to realise we really needed a baby monitor as we were always anxious that Luisa would waken or be ill and we wouldn’t hear her from downstairs.
Both Matt & I really wanted to get a video baby monitor for real peace of mind but all the ones we looked at were really expensive. It’s not that we didn’t want to spend the money, we just didn’t want to spend a lot unless we really had to. So the search for an affordable video baby monitor began.
Matt managed to find one for £24 from the brand Cleverdog. It operates over wifi, transmits video and sound and is controlled via an app on your phone or tablet. The camera is compatible with both apple and android systems. All you need to do it plug it in and connect it to your wifi, the app takes minutes to install and configure then you’re good to go.
We’ve been using it without any problems for the last 6 months and I’d thoroughly reccomend it. This entire review is totally independent, no-one has gifted me anything or paid me a fee I just really wanted to share this product with you. I mean why spend £150 when you can get an affordable video baby monitor for just £24?
We actually bought the camera on a site called my memory but you can get it on Amazon too. I’ve made a video to show you what the camera looks like and tell you about some of it’s features. I’ve also included some screenshots from the app so you can get a really good idea of how it looks.
Please forgive my rambling, i’m pretty new to all this! I’d really appreciate it if you could take the time to subscribe to my channel or give the video a thumbs up.
Hope you enjoyed this video, I’m having a lot of fun experimenting and I think it’s a great way to do reviews as you can really ‘see’ the product. Anyway, let me know your feedback 🙂
