It’s Luisas first Easter and we’re excited for some fun family days out over the next week or so. In typical new parent fashion we want to mark the occasion even though she hasn’t a clue what’s going on. I’ve had a look around the virtual shopping aisles of the internet and come up with my picks for non-chocolate Easter gifts for baby.
Matt & I have decided not to buy L any sweets or Easter eggs as she is only 10 months old and we really don’t want to encourage a sweet tooth. That being said I know that her grandparents will get her an Easter egg and I will be letting her have a little bit. Sadly I’ll have to finish it, for her own good you understand…
I first discovered the cute puppet board books when my mum bought Luisa the Incy Wincy Spider version. She really loves it so when I saw they also make Mary had a Little Lamb I just had to get it for a little Easter treat.
As Luisa is already a real book-worm (to the point that I’ve actually hidden some before to avoid reading them for the hundredth time BAD MUM) I’m sure she’s going to love Too Many Carrots as the illustrations are beautiful. I’m a sucker for anything with a sweet lesson/fable style – this one’s about sharing.
We’ve already got the little musical sheep from Ikea which was kindly sent to us as a little treat for tweeting about how much we love their Gonatt cot. I bought Luisa the grey bunny ears from Poundland last week – I’m hoping to use them for a spring photo shoot. I’ve included some gorgeous photos from fellow bloggers of their little lambs below for inspiration.

These three are cute enough to make me take my eyes off the eggs!
