It’s always hard to watch the news or scroll through Facebook and hear about families in the UK and abroad who are struggling. Since I’ve had Luisa it’s been impossible to ignore the suffering we see diluted down for our screens on a daily basis. One cause in particular I’ve been moved by is the plight of Syrian refugees. I’m sure you’ve seen the images of families clinging to each other – full of relief that they’ve made it out and fear of the unknown that lies ahead. It’s hard to know what we can do to support these families on a practical level so I’m really proud to be taking part in JoJo Maman Bebe’s From a Mother to Another campaign this year.

JoJo Maman Bebe have a wonderful charity campaign to support vulnerable families in the UK and abroad. The From a Mother to Another campagin involves donating good quality clothes you're children have grown out of. The donations will then be checked and lovingly packaged by JoJo before being sent to refugees in lebanon.

To join in with the From a Mother to Another campaign you need to plunder through the clothes your little one has outgrown and make up 2 (or more) complete outfits suitable for a child aged 0-6years. The outfits should be gently worn – something you’d still be happy to dress your own cherub in if only they would still fit!

You then need to package the outfits in a clear bag and label them with size, gender & season to help JoJo send them to the right people.

Once you’ve done this drop the outfits into a JoJo Maman Bebe store before the 5th March. You’ll even get a £5 gift card to thank you for the donation (One voucher per customer. Valid with a £35 minimum

JoJo Maman Bebe will then check the donated outfits and add extra items if needed. They’ll be packaged up and sent on to be distributed amongst Syrian refugees in Lebanon. JoJo are picking up the cost of all this sorting, packing, shipping and paying the import tax incurred. The donations will also be used to support vulnerable families in the UK in partnership with Trussel Trust.

I’ve had a quick rummage upstairs and already come up with 3 outfits all in great condition – some parts were never worn (oops!) I’m going to take another look for a few more unisex things and see if I can make up more bundles in 3-6 and some 6-9 too.
