Santa Claus is comingggg to townnnn. Just kidding, you’re going to the shops. Unless of course you take a leaf out of my book and do most of your gift buying online, from the comfort of your sofa. I’ll be very transparent here, some of the items I’m going to suggest for the man in your life were sent to me free of charge – you’ll know which ones because i’ll put a little star beside them. Like this * Anyway, on with the show! As I’ve mentioned in gift guides from previous years I am surrounded by men, I have three brothers and Matt has two. As if 6 men aged 17-27 wasn’t bad enough I also have my own Dad and Matts’ to think of. I like to consider myself a pretty good gift buyer, I’m extremely nosy and pay attention to small details. Usually I start trying…

*We were sent Flip ‘N’ Tip Fred in exchange for an honest review* If your toddler doesn’t squish their little face up against the window to watch the bin men, are they even a toddler? Luisa has made firm friends with the lovely folks who take care of our rubbish and loves to guess which colour of bin will be emptied each day. Our bins being collected is certainly one of the high points of the week so when WOW Toys offered us a Flip ‘N’ Tip Fred to review I couldn’t pass that up.     Flip ‘N’ Tip Fred is a recycling truck with three different bins and two figures. I love the fact that this toy brings up an natural opportunity to teach Luisa that different items belong in different bins and to talk about recycling. It’s funny to think that a few years ago we were…

This is maybe the most self indulgent post i’ve ever written, except maybe my last Christmas wishlist, but i’ve got so many gift guides for other people going up on the blog this week I feel like being a little selfish. So if we’re related, or you love me, or you’ve drawn me in a secret santa… this is for you.     Would you look at that, a millennial cliche! I love statement wall calendars, pretty postcards and gin. Seriously though, everything tastes better from a Cath Kidston Stanley mug and those Pantone postcards will not only liven up my decor but they’ll take my flatlay game to the next level. Last year for Christmas Matt got me a bullet journal and a whole host of lovely pens to go with it. It’s still in the packaging. I really really meant to use it this year, I honestly did. The…

We were sent the Elf and Seek Christmas Countdown to feature on social media but I love it so much i’ve written a post to share it with you in more detail. I don’t know about you but I am a Christmas fanatic, I love everything about the season. The smells; the lights, the tastes, the music, I never tire of the festivities. Some people say you can have a too much of a good thing and that is true, but not when it comes to Christmas! It’s only November but I’ve already planned out most of my shopping, pre recorded some seasonal videos and mentally decorated the tree at least twice. It’s fair to say Christmas is the only thing I’m ever organised for! With this being Luisas’ first ‘proper’ Christmas my excitement is at an all time high. I can’t wait to see her little face as she…

I was tagged by Emily from Emily & Indiana to answer some Festive questions, I love this time of year but I’ve been so busy I need a little help getting into the spirit of it all so I’m hoping this will help. I also filmed a different Christmas Tag as part of Vlogmas too so I’ll stick that at the bottom for anyone who’s too lazy to read this.   What’s your favourite Christmas movie? I think I give a different answer anytime someone asks this but probably the Grinch or Home Alone. I also really like Love Actually and The Holiday. Sap alert!     Have you ever had a white Christmas? I don’t think I’ve had proper snow on Christmas Day, maybe just a skiff but I’ve had lots of snowy Decembers.   Where do you usually spend your holiday? Nearly always at home in Northern Ireland.…

I don’t know about you but I’m trying to save as much money as possible this Christmas without compromising on having a good time. I’ve partnered with The Works to make this guide to toddler stocking fillers. I’ve chosen 8 items that are all under £10 and are, hopefully, quite engaging. Luisa really doesn’t need a tonne of stuff especially anything bulky. I’ve tried to pick out presents for her where everything does something, so no stuffed animals or very repetitive toys. Now that she’s getting older she definitely needs things that are a bit more stimulating or can be played with in an imaginative way. I’ll be sharing her Christmas gifts in a blog post of video really soon so keep an eye on social media if that’s something you’d like to see. I think activity books and colouring in are going to be a great option for her this year…

As you’ll know from my recent post about my favourite Christmas decorations making the house look and feel festive is really important to me. I love everything about Christmas, even though there are some stressful parts and moments when thoughts of loved ones who’ve passed away weigh on me. I look forward to stocking up on seasonal candles and picking out a new bauble or two to mark the year with. If I had it my way we’d put the tree up in the last weekend of November so I could enjoy it for even longer. For that reason I was really surprised to read in a survey about Brits favourite Christmas decorations that 23% of respondants don’t have a tree at all. The main reason given for passing on a bit of greenery, faux or fir, was lack of space.

As you might know were currently reeling from a house move and have a poorly baby so Christmas decorations have been getting put up in any spare moments I can find. We’ve done a fair bit of unpacking so far and the rest of the boxes are stashed in the spare bedroom — out of site out of mind! Once the tree was looking well I turned my attention to making the rest of the house more festive and homey. Here are a few of my own ideas for quick and easy Christmas decor and one from my talented Mum.

This Christmas a wonderful gang of breastfeeding bloggers are back to give you the chance to win some amazing prizes and hopefully entertain you with our seasonal musings. Read on for your chance to win 100s of pounds worth of goodies. I’ve been thinking a lot about the implications of breastfeeding at Christmas. I need to plan an easy access outfit, work out our plans to fit with L’s feeding schedule, pump so I can enjoy a few too many on New Years Eve. The longer my mental list got the more I began to realise that being a breastfeeding mum is a lot like being Santa.
