Last week I received and email asking if I’d like to include some flowers from Bloom Magic in a Valentines feature. Obviously I said yes, who doesn’t love fresh flowers! I was really excited to see their signature hatbox in person.

Another thing that attracted me to the company was their ethics. Bloom Magic strive to be really mindful at every stage; starting with the flower farmers who grow sustainably. They also use locally-sourced, seasonal blooms to further reduce their carbon footprint and use 90% recyclable/reusable materials in their packaging.

Bloom Magic sent the Amour Eternal charcoal grey hatbox containing 12 red roses. The flowers arrived the day after I placed my order, in perfect condition, with my favourite DPD courier. I’ll admit I was a little nervous that they’d not survive the journey and i’d be unboxing some sad looking stems.

Once your bouquet is unpacked you need to trim the stems before filling up the hatbox with water and plant feed (provided) The bouquet is tied so you can leave it arranged nicely and carefully trim the ends or take it apart and rearrange yourself. Bloom Magic advise that you top-up the water regularly and replace every three days to maximise the life-span of your flowers.

I love how simple and luxurious the Amour Eternal arrangement is, each rose is perfectly formed and a really rich colour. We’ve had the hatbox on display for six days now and the blooms still look really lovely.

If you live within Dublin you can order from Bloom Magic and receive your flowers the same day – the rest of Ireland is eligible for next and/or named day delivery.
